After years of building Noontime Media, I’m making a shift toward embracing my identity as a creator under my own name, Matt Noonan. Here’s what’s changing, why I made the decision, and what’s next for my sports storytelling content.

It’s been three years since I bid farewell to college sports coverage — and mind you, my focus was primarily on small colleges in New England, with the occasional “feel-good story” outside the region. While I began noticing cracks in the foundation back then, I’m seeing even more now — in some cases, they’re much bigger than they were in 2022.

Thanksgiving is synonymous with family, food, and, of course, football. It’s also a day when high schools across Massachusetts collide on the gridiron.

It’s been three years since my last blog post. And now, after a lengthy hiatus, I’ve returned to writing during a time when most people consume content visually on their phones rather than in newspapers or physical magazines — both of which, yes, still exist in November 2025.
